On-site care for residents

Facility Care

Fundamental Foot Care partners with assisted living communities, nursing homes, adult family care homes, group homes, and elder care facilities throughout Maine to deliver professional on-site foot care for residents. Our facility program is designed to complement your existing care team — we coordinate with staff, adapt to your residents’ schedules, and provide thorough documentation to support continuity of care. Healthy feet mean more mobile, more comfortable, more independent residents.

How the Program Works

We establish a regular on-site schedule that works around your facility’s routines. A certified nurse visits on the agreed cadence, works through a resident roster, and provides complete foot care for each individual — including nail trimming, callus and corn reduction, skin inspection, infection monitoring, and referral documentation when concerns arise. Care is delivered in residents’ rooms or a designated care space, and we communicate findings with nursing staff after each visit.

Why Facilities Choose Us

Facilities that partner with Fundamental Foot Care report fewer foot-related wound incidents, better resident satisfaction around comfort and mobility, and reduced burden on existing nursing staff. Our nurses are experienced with populations that have complex needs — dementia, severe neuropathy, active wound history, behavioral challenges — and they bring patience, clinical skill, and a calm presence to every visit.
